There are many types of seeds. Save seed procedure is not the same for every type of seed. Different type of seed has different type procedure.

When to Pick Tomato
Tomato seeds stay inside the tomato. So, tomato Seeds can be collected from Tomato when the tomato gets fully ripe. But getting ripe at the same time does not happen in every country. In the USA, late summer is the best time to pick up the tomato. That time tomato becomes fully ripen. When the tomatoes are fully ripe, the seeds in the tomatoes are mature. 1)Fermentation to Save Tomato Seeds

Spoon, knife, container, lid, and paper towels
Process
A gel that surrounds the seeds which prevent the germination inhibitor. In the formation process, it is the main goal to separate the gel from the seeds. For fermentation, first cut the tomato in half. Then take a spoon or something like that. Remove the seeds from those pieces. Now take a waterproof container. It will be good if the container is transparent. Now pour the container with seeds where gel stick with seeds. Close it with a lid but don’t use an airtight lid. And keep the container at room temperature place for 3 to 5 days. In those, it will be fermented. Tomato seeds are It doesn’t absolute fermentation.
After 3 to 5 days, take the container and remove the lid carefully. Then add water as a result of the bad seeds and gel floating up and the good seed sink in the water. Now drain it and take the seeds on dry paper towels as a result the seeds stick to the paper. But don’t take on a ceramic or plastic plate. If you take on it the seeds remain wet because plastic or ceramic plate don’t absorb the water which sticks with seeds. By this process all unnecessary remove from the needs.
Now dry the wet seeds in sunlight. Then take the seeds in a waterproof container. To close up the container using a lid. Remember it the container has to airtight otherwise seeds will be destroyed.
2)Simple Drying to Save Tomato Seeds

Spoon, dry paper or dry towel or toilet tissue, airtight container.
Process
The seeds which are separated by fermentation it preserves for one year. But sometimes farmers want to preserve it for more than one year. At that time farmers need another way to save seeds. The simple Drying process is a good alternation of the Fermentation process. In this process, first cut the tomato in half. Use a spoon or something like that to remove the seed with gel from tomatoes. Put the seeds with gel on toilet tissue, coffee filter, or paper plate. Now dry the paper with seeds. After dry, the seeds stick to the paper. Now you can preserve it with whole paper or you can cut the paper into pieces and preserve it in an airtight container.
Seed storage containers
You can save tomato seeds for one or more than one year that time containers play a vital role. If the container doesn’t well then, the seeds will be wasted any time.
