Breweries

Throughout Ontario, there is a wide range of different breweries that offer a great deal of unique flavors and alcoholic beverages.

The rise of popularity in craft/local beer over the past half decade or so has been well-documented. Sour/fruit-flavored beers, pale ales, lagers, you name it. The breweries across Ontario have them.

Some of the top breweries in the Toronto area include the Mill Street Brewpub (in the popular and touristy Distillery District), the Amsterdam Brewhouse & Restaurant, the Kensington Brewing Company and the Radical Road Brewing Co.

Other widely critically-acclaimed breweries around Ontario include the Silversmith Brewing Company (in Niagara), the Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery in Barrie and Hamilton’s Clifford Brewing Company.

Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls is one of the world’s most visited tourist attractions each year, bringing in about 12 million visitors annually, according to the Tourism Industry Association of Canada.

Niagara Falls is located in southern Ontario and western New York (close to Buffalo. It consists of three different waterfalls in the Bridal Veil Falls, the American Falls and the Horseshoe Falls.

 

Guided tours through boats and cruises are offered to visitors. Ziplining is another fun activity at Niagara Falls, and there are several casinos/hotel resorts nearby if you wish to spend several days there.

Museums

There is so much fascinating history to learn about during the province of Ontario.

You can learn aplenty about the history of Ontario by checking out some of its best museums. This includes the nation’s biggest museum in the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), which is home to over 10 million unique items.

For sports fans, there is also the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto which is home to many special hockey artifacts and memorabilia. The Hockey Hall of Fame also allows fans to take a picture with the Stanley Cup.

History buffs visiting Ottawa will have a great deal of museums to see as well. This includes the National Gallery of Canada, the Canada Science and Technology Museum, the Canadian War Museum and the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum.
